TCP out of business? Is it true?

This is a continuing topic of several boards. The overall gist seems to be that they are still in business but way behind on orders, but supposedly have made a conscious decision to ignore the phone/customer service while they struggle to catch up with demand.

This is a great way to reduce said demand to zero, if you ask me, but I dont work there *shrug*

Well I just filed Charge Back papers at my bank for the upper control arms I have yet to receive after almost two months.

Can't get a hold of them on the phone, and no product.

UNVMATT...did you double check to make SURE Mustangs Unlimited HAD them in stock?

I am familiar with at least 6-10 ppl who have ordered from TCP and have heard nothing for a long time (in business terms, anyway).

I have nothing against them, but I would wait until this 'crisis' passes before entrusting any shekels to them. If they *really* made such a decision (and I dont know that for certain), it is IMO terribly foolish on their part....just from the Mustang 'Net community rumblings, they are losing potential customers by the hour.

TCP - overpriced by at least 20%

you are paying for research and design...thats about it. their products are no more superior to any others. Flame Suit On - not returning to this thread. LOL

I have it from a source as well that things are not well there, but they are still in business. Financial problems as I understand.

Well it's only going to get worse. I am sure I will not be the only one to file charge back on them. You know if they would just answer the phone, it would save them a lot of hassles.

This has been an absolute crap month for me. My 2003 Suzuki quad was stolen in front of my house, TCP is screwing me for 600 bucks, and I can't seem to get the guy who sold me an ari cleaner off E bay to ship the thing.

GRRRRRRRR!!!

When was the last time you talked to your source? Reason I ask is I received a phone call this morning that TCP was done. While my source (I hate this my source vs your source crap, but we must protect the identity of those involved or else those black helicopters will start circling overhead ;) ) is very reliable, it would be better to hear from more than just one. If you can, ask yours if they've heard anything as of today, because I was told the same thing a couple weeks ago that they're still in business, just behind and that they weren't closing shop.

To add fuel to the fire, Lino (Psydwaze) a TCP employee usually responds within a few days to any TCP related thread. The last time he was online was today. You would think that he would have responded to the Total Control Products, Where To Buy thread, but he never did. All signs are pointing to the end. Anyone have any recent, as in today, information that says otherwise?

You do not need all of that stuff to make your early model perform. I have been preaching this for years.

Yes I know all about your standing as the fastest early model to ever grace the planet :D , anyway that is not what I started the thread for. I wanted to know if TCP was still in business or not. They have some parts I wanted to buy that I was going to put off if I could, however, by the sounds of things it may already be too late.

PS - Historic thats not a jab in anyway I just don't want this turning into another "TCP SUX AND IS TOO EXPENSIVE TO BOOT" thread.

I had the police stop by the TCP shop today to see what is going on. I am a Canadian customer and have no way to get a straight story on this since their phone just rings busy now. The police say that the business is still there but they have been receiving an increased number of calls on this. Nobody was at the shop but the guy said that he stopped by over lunch. These guys need to let the public know what is going on!!!! This is no way to run a business, not to mention how to treat people. This is affecting people personally who have had their money stolen by these guys. Come on, our wifes already question the hobby, this sure does not help our cause.
