...the Diablo Predator. Specifically, 2V, mildly-modded, normally aspirated dyno results done under remotely controlled circumstances.

I'm at 255-ish rwHP right now with a few simple bolt-ons. I've heard good things about adding a few degrees of timing through a Steeda T/A but with piggyback March pulleys on my GT, the T/A isn't going to happen. The ability to tweak fuel a tad as well as correcting for gears (future mod) sounds very tempting. Having said this, rpmoutlet's copy sounds suspiciously like it was written by a marketing guy who doesn't actually know what a dyno is:

"Average power gains are in the 15-20 RWHP range. The DiabloSport Predator additional power makes itself noticeable immediately with an increase in power that starts in the low RPMs and builds into a frenzy at the high RPMs."

15-20HP? I doubt it. "Frenzy"? I doubt this too. So what's realistic to expect? Any dynos to back up the numbers? Any other feedback?

I have the Diablo Predator and use it on my 2001 GT. It was great for re-calibrating the speedometer due to 4.10 gears. The performance tune, however, has much to be desired. If you buy a chip, Diablo tailors the chip for your specific mods. With the Predator, there is a single performance mod and it appears to be for a stock GT. With my mods, it really leaned out my car. Although you can adjust the a/f ratio, you are basically shooting blind unless you have an a/f monitor. I decided to have my car dyno tuned when I had LT headers installed. The mechanic used the Predator to make adjustments to the performance tune. I gained 23 rwhp with the LT headers and o/r x-pipe. I am not sure how much should be attributed to the Predator. I do know that the mechanic would have preferred to dial-in a chip than to make hit-and-miss adjustments with the Predator.

I installed my Predator tune about a week ago, I am very happy so far. I say :bs: to 15-20 HP claim though. I would guess 8 mabye 10 HP. I did seem to crispen up the throttle response and it seems to pull harder in 4th gear. Havent had the vehicle on a dyno yet but will soon. You add the modest HP increase with the ability to adjust the speedo and turn off the O2 sensors and I think it is a worthwhile purchase. :nice:

From what I have read Diablo can write a tune for your specific mods and you can download it into your Predator then install into your car

I assume then that the Predator can also read and save the factory tune, right, and can program it back in? Can it store multiple flash reads? Say, the factory tune and one or two of my own?
