is the terlingua front facia different from the r model fornt facia, i cant really tell, but i think on the terlingua the opening isnt as big as on the r model...also does anyone know if there is a terlingua style front (if different formt the r) is availiable for a 68...

it is different, and as far as i'm aware, it's not available for '67-'68. if anyone had it, it would be dallas mustang

The lower part of the valance opening is more rounded and is smaller

It's fiberglass, it has to be, too much cost in fabbing one or dies for stamping one that would be such small production.

I saw the prototype in Tulsa two years ago at the Shelby meet. It's a pretty slick car, but there are some things I'd have done differently.

Here are a few pics which were taken during the install of my R-model syle front apron.

This piece is from MP motorsports.
I bought it right before Cobra Automotive came out with their apron which has the headlight buckets molded in....

Didn't the 67 & 68 Trans am cars originally just run without the bumper? I have seen the replacement apron above for the new T-L cars, but the original T/A cars used the original fronts.

That is correct the TA cars of old just pulled the bumper and ran the original front apron...It looks really unfinished in my opinion unless you cut up the stone deflector to clean things up...

thanks guys for all the help...i guess i will have to get the r model front...if i get the one without the bumber, do i have to do any kind of fabrication as far as cutting old brackets or anything like that...also who makes the best fitment front at a reasonable price...

If you call Dallas Mustang, ask for Kenny Northum, he is my brother in law's stepdad. He is the one who is building the terlingua mustangs for DM. Goto www.dallasmustang.com (here is the link: http://dallasmustang.com/page/specialtycars.dm450.php) and look up the DM450 program, that would be the one. BTW Kenny is SUPER cool and nice, and knows more than....man... I don't know, the man is very knowledgeable. Be cool, tell him Nathan from Kansas says hey!
