Anyone have a picture of one? I'm looking at my Ford Fuel Injection EFI conversion harness and cannot figure out just how to use it or if there is a cover over it... the part I think is a cover has the FORD oval script on it so I thought I'd ask you guys how you take it off or how to get at the actual connection points...

Thanks for any help! I'm lost on this one...

p.s. I'm assuming that it must be a cover over the connector - I'm sure I'm looking at the right connector, just can't get the cover lifted off...

The link always posted for a typical code scanner shows this:
http://www.actron.com/product_detail.php?pid=16153

So I'm assuming this will plug in underneath there (or I'm planning on using the "other" paper clip method). The plug I have is generally that size/shape but there is no holes... so is there usually a cover?

thanks

My fox doesnt have the cover but my 94 does. The cover on the 94 just slides off. You have to wiggle it side to side (rock it) to get it to come off.

Ok thanks I'll try to force it somemore, just seems like anymore force I put on it then it will be ready to break... If that does not work I'll post a picture of it.

All right, JRichker!

Just wiggle it back and forth - mine had dust and dirt stuck inside it. I actually had tried to use needlenose pliers to remove the cover (being very careful of where I put the jaws) but that wasnt going to fly. Simply holding the cover firmly while rocking the actual connector back and forth got it to come loose.

Good luck.

Thanks for the great pictures!

I got the cover off, man it was a fight for that little piece of plastic

Under the cover were the STI connector and the one shaped like the above picture. I was able to pull the codes with no problem. I just started a new thread on help with the codes (code 22).
