how can i test a gt500 fuel pump to see if both pumps are running.ive checked the wiring harness and i think its right but im having a idle problem and low end drivabilty problem with my saleen sc so i want to make sure they both are running.im driveing the crew at jdm crazy over this so before i take it out and put the stock one in i thought i would check the pumps.chris and jim have been great help and i want to make sure the problem isnt my fault.

What makes you think it's a fuel pump problem? - I would think that that would cause problems (starvation) at high RPM/boost rather than idle/low. I've heard of idle problems with a malfunctioning bypass actuator. My Whipple included a procedure for checking actuator function prior to driving. I'm thinking that the actuator might be stuck and not bypassing at low RPM/closed throttle. Would be worth checking?

Do you have boost, wideband AFR, and fuel pressure gauges? I'd recommend them for F/I applications.

fuel pump check

You can check the fuel pumps when the car is idling, you just have to get to the top of your fuel pumps and unhook one at a time, if the car stalls when you unhook one, then that one is not working. I have a whipple setup and thats how I checked them.
