I just installed it tonight Holy crap I can NOT imagine such a short and precise shift from this transmission!

However it seems quite a bit stiff. Is this normal? I dont see a lot of opportunity for a break in, but can I hope for this? That, and compared to stock, there is slightly more gear noise from the transmission now, not less, for me

Don't worry about how stiff it is. That's the way it's suppose to be. You'll get use to it real quick. I got mine installed 3 weeks ago and I think it shifts like butter now. I'm sure the shifter has'nt changed. You just get use to it. This is what I'm talking about. They aint no way another shifter has shorter throws!!!

Hahaha, yeah, I figure I'll just get used to it Just wanted to make sure it was normal though. I'm thinking the same about the blue handle, its a little bit far for me, but im counting on getting used to it. Can't wait to actually drive it! I only got around the block tonight, but I was absolutely blown away by how short and precise the throws were! Im still like bubbling over it, lol

As an acoustician I'm pretty sensitive to what I hear and don't hear so imagine my surprise when I hear the MGW transmitting LESS NOISE from the transmission into the interior than the stock shifter! God, I love it!

Yeah I already made my mind on a mgw shifter w/ the blue handle a few months ago. I'm just waiting for my tax return to get here and it's mine!!
