The 2.0L was never available in the minivans. Back in the 1st gen they had the old school 2.2 chrysler, 2.5L chrysler w/ balance shafts and early on the mitsu 2.6L. The current gen and last gen only had the 2.4L. The 2.0L was primarily in the neons and the plymouth breezes.
Head gaskets don't cause blue smoke - they cause white smoke from coolant. Thought that point was made a number of times above!
Ford's certainly had their share of head gasket problems they didn't take FULL responsiblity for (3.8L) that cost people lots of money!
