I fired it up earlier after I fixed the window and it would hardly stay running and definatly had a very bad miss....then it pretty much straightened itself out and ran fine. Drove it for about 35-40 miles and as I was pulling back into the driveway I noticed the engine light was on .
Took it down to autozone and if I recall correctly it was throwing P0190 and the scanner was saying something about the fuel rail pressure sensor.
So what would cause this? Reason I ask instead of just buying a new sensor is because while on the drive my fuel pressure momentarily dropped to around 10PSI (via my gauge) and instantly jumped back up. Something to do with the Ford GT fuel pump not liking the car still accelerating when you arnt pushing the throttle (IE going down hill) and it will start building fuel pressure up to sometimes over 50PSI. And when you get to 1500RPMs or touch the gas, the fuel pressure nose dives and this time went all the way down to 10PSI before it cought itself. Usually it only goes to around 20.
Could that have triggered it?
Oh and the car is missing worse than normal...and sometimes the RPMs will surge. And trying to drive anywhere below 1600RPM makes the car buck, even in 4th gear. Also something in the engine doesnt sound right...almost sounds like one of the cyclinders isnt hitting correctly and gas is being pumped out. Just the way the exhaust sounds as its exiting the engine through the headers.
Oh and should I not go into boost with this code? Thanks
