Alright, i have an 89 LX Vert. IT has a 93 motor and trans, so its currently a 5 speed car. the EEC was not in place correctly, so i pulled the wiring harness of it, to get it in place. In the process my retarded ass pulled out the number 1 pin. So, no when i key on, the fuel pump repeatedly primes. JOY. I did a search to find out what EEC i could use, to replace this. And it appears there are only 2, A9L and A9P. Now, being a 5 speed car, i should have the L, but i dont i have the P. will i have any isues going to the a9l? i think this car used to be an auto

Both the A9L and A9P will work with a 5 speed 89-93 Mustang, I have done it and there are no problems. It is a one for one, no changes needed swap.

Either one will work, if tuning or having it tuned it won't matter since most parameters will be changed anyways. If not tuning, I'd use the a9 p as it has slighty more agressive spark tables but that doesn't matter honestly sine the. Wot spark function remains the same. Dizzy twisting will adress that, so in a nut shell you won't tell the difference b/w the two
