Hey everyone,

I was wondering what color paint was fastest. I know the molecular construction of each shade of paint is quite different from each other and so the air friction must be vastly different as well. I need to know ASAP for track run this weekend. I'm looking for just a few tenths off... not going to get too hopeful or anything.

I will only used the highest quality Krylon btw.

Maybe if you sniff the paint, it will give you the illusion of going faster

the answer is obvious, white is the fastest color by far.
white has the least pigment making it the lightest and slickest. Black would
be the heaviest creating the most wind drag. Those damn black pigment
molecules just grab onto the air creating too much friction. White paint
must be good for about 20 hp over black. My gt is yellow, which is the second fastest!

Don't forget to strip the interior to the metal.

You don't need a drivers seat, as im pretty sure a box/crate of some sort will be lighter.

well if you are looking for less weight make sure to remove the engine, thats worth a lot of savings!! Might not be going nowhere fast though.

This thing is so light you have no idea. I also gave each leg a .030 overbore to save some more weight.

Of course, I went with Mahley legs and ARP mains for the bolts.
