see the rip off here

For 90 grand, I'd buy a Stang and spend the other 60k on hookers from craigslist..

90k is a rip, the z06 would eat that thing alive. There is only so much traction unless the wheels come with an advance internal maple syrup friction tire system. I hear NASA is working on one..

Do you think $60k is enough? Even hookers have standards..

You might start criticizing them... Telling them you could build one cheaper and have enough money left over to.......

Good luck with that...

Regardless, the car won't steal all of your money, it is fun for more than 15 minutes, and it wont give you a disease.. I would rather have the car...

Not a bad price

$60k for hookers isn't as bad as you think.
My wife has cost me at least 15 times that so far and i have to see her everyday.

I can't believe this hasn't been said yet...

The corvette and mustang (GT500 or not) do NOT compete with each other. Customers make them compete, but they are not in the same category as each other in the market. One has 4 seats, the other has 2.

Well said! As far as class of cars goes the Mustang competes with the Chevy Camaro not the Corvette! It has been that way for years.

The Stang never was the same class as the Vette! It has been in the same class as the Camaro since it's introduction in '67. The Vette is built on an entirely different chassis setup and has a far differnt agenda than any Stang. Cars do not fall in the same class if they have similar drivetrains/power output alone.

Ford went after the Vette with the GT500 and the last time I checked the Camaro and Firetard hasn't been produced in 5 years!!!! So the Stang was compared to the Vette.

The number of seats has nothing to do with sports cars dualing.. May I bring up the M3 vs the Vette... idiots

first of all 'smartguy'. gm couldnt compete with ford in this market, thats why they hadnt produced camaros/firebirds in five years. there was no money in it. the vette was in a class all by itself for decades. second why not go after the vette with the gt500. there was no other compitition with the vette. so from a market standpoint what do they have to lose. and third DUALING in this context is spelled with an E. D-U-E-L-I-N-G. sorry jenn

Keep it on the level fellas. Mr. V has been issued an infraction for his "idiot" comment. I really do not want to see my level headed, quality members tailspin thanks to his instigation.

I am working on getting rid of this fine specimen member for MustangWorld. LOL In the meantime, just ignore the BS and let me do what needs to be done to show him the door.

It's all good wolf. Just keep it cool man. Consider this individual not worth the effort of the breath you waste. Intellectual dialogue takes more than one person.

it is inevitable for the gt500 to be compared to the corvette...when i go to buy a sports car and i have 50k to spend i am going to look at what is going to give me the most performance for the money and it is not the gt500 i dont care how many seats they have and the seats are completely worthless in the mustang anyway...when ford stepped up the price for the gt500 to the same category as the vette they created this...if chevy can build a car that performs that well for the money why cant ford

It is INEBADABOO!! Its all the press' fault that cars in differen't catagories get compared to each other. It sucks but, untill ford makes something that competes DIRECTLY with Corvette, the mustang is the nearest car. IMHO the Ford GT is on a differen't level all together until you are talking about the ZO6. Even then, IMHO, the GT is differen't still because of the production numbers.
