yeah this doesn't sound quite right...there aren't any americans complaining about crap like this..my guess is the dealer is to blame for servicing issues...not the car..

If it isn't British it's automatically 'rubbish'.

My roomates watch his show all the time, Top Gear. I like the cars but Jeremy Clarkson is stuck up and like Tylerb said, Clarkson is of the mentality that if it isn't British its "Crap". Its actually annoying that when Tiff left Top Gear, they chose Clarkson. Tiff was an actual race car driver. Clarkson is a journalist poser.

This guy is not only the problem, its the whole show. Whenever they test american cars they always bash about them. You should've seen what they said about the corvette!

I think this is plain and simple. He is using his position of power in the automotive media to publically humiliate and redicule Ford motor company over a noncence issue. It may be a lagit issue, but its a rediculous one at that. This is the typical reports we get from European automotive reporters when they want to make American cars look bad. For what the GT is overall id say he got his moneys worth to upset any Ferrari. Not bad for a mass produced vehicle regurdless of the stupid alarm system. If he didnt like the alarm system.. pull that S-O-B out of the car. DUH!!! Case solved. Give us a break Jeremy Clarkson!!!

To me, the real story here is not the GT40, but his remark about the US's entry into WWII. I'm sorry that the US's timing didn't suit him. Maybe if Neville Chamberlain hadn't been so eager to appease Hitler in the early going, tens of thousands of US troops wouldn't have had to die defending foreign soil. I kind of expect that mentality from some un-named countries on the Continent, but not the UK.

I wonder if he's seen the tests in Automobile and Road and track and Car and driver and etc... where his "lemon" kicks the crap out of the Porsche GT2, GT3, the ferraris (not the enzo obviously), the lambo Geraldo (sp?), and so on and so on....

Hmmmm, must not have.
