I want to first start by saying thank you to each and every one of you who participating in the raffle. 510 tickets were sold as well as two non-ticket purchasing donations to raise a total of $1947.50. Thanks to your generosity this fundraiser has been a success!!! And the Money will definutly help my uncle rebuild his life after the fire. The process for the raffle was as fallows:
“As each ticket order came in I added that order to an excel spread sheet in the order it came in. Each ticket for any given prize was numbered 1 through what ever the final number of tickets was. Today the slips of paper were put in a hat with numbers on them and the one drawn was the winner. So as a fictitious example lets say 3 people bought 5 tickets each for one of the prizes. The first person I received money from would have the tickets numbered 1-5 the second person I received money from would have tickets numbered 6-10 and the third person 11-15. Because 15 tickets were sold 15 slips of paper, numbered 1-15, would be put in a hat, completely mixed up, and the one drawn would be the winner so if 7 is drawn then the second person who bought tickets for that part would be the one who won it. “
