the thought of side exhaust has crossed my mind....

im essentially lookin for a nice side exhaust kit or maybe just the side exhaust and i can find my own side exit skirts.... any suggestions?

pictures of different kinds would be perfect... im thinkin id like to run the SVO skirt, but obviously trying to find those is gonna be a PITA.... basically pushin the issue of it harder now because i just got pulled over for tint, and the cop was sorta a douche... tellin me he wasnt gonna write me up for loud exhaust(runnin dumps, first cop to EVER mention that to me...) i usually dont drive my car like an ass hat, but even at cruise its loud... whats a side exhaust that will still be loud, but not as noticeable as dumps...

hehe, i just ordered some SVO skirts from ABC--decided to change things up a bit.

anyhow, only other side-exit skirts i know of are the Roush pieces..

Dan...Rio95.....had a list on his sig that said he could get the SVO skirts...I bought his borla side exhaust and run them without the skirts.......give the car a very clean look.....I thought about getting the side skirts but have not emailed him yet to see the costs...

i think it was 269.99 for the urethane--not sure about the shipping costs cause i also ordered a new front bumper.

these bolt up to the door sill, too, not just the front and back sides. price isn't bad to me at all mainly because of the material... plus, i know they'll hold up to abuse.

i believe bassani and i know spintech has a side exhaust kit. couldnt tell ya on the prices though. if i decided to go with side exhaust it would be one of those two kits.

Let me get some pics from you when you get the chance...no rush...I have until spring.......I have never seen a Opal Frost with the SVO skirts......that's why I am thinking of getting some.....would be my first mod to the body.....

you'll have to make your own side exit part to match the side skirts, unless you buy used... I bought the same mufflers that dan is running (borla s type) which are very small and round, because they need to tuck up into the driveshaft tunnel if you don't want any drastic bends... They are also extremely expensive ($180 a piece)... Mines not done yet, but will be a year from now when I finally get to see my car again...

yeah im stuck between goin side exhaust or goin back to tail pipes, which id prefer not to... would side exhaust be a little quieter and more tame than dumps? cuz im startin to think, especially after the cop broke my balls and made the icing on my cake, that its way too loud for me... i cant think sometimes and thats hard enuf! LOL

For what it is worth the Spintech side exhaust is pretty nice. My buddy had it on his cobra and it sounded great and looked pretty good too.

I meant I have never seen the SVO's on a OF.......and I think they would look different..(in a good way) on my OF...........
