1. Make sure you get the connector on the back of the computer **spotless*.

2. Take a valium before you start, 'cause getting the EEC mounting bracket out is a huge PITA (and the EEC won't fit back in the bracket with the TwEECer attached).

Go to the tweecer forums and find a file similar to your setup so you have a good base tune to start with. then do your fine tuning fom there. If it is used you will hace to clean the connector really, really, really, really, really, really good with some rubbing alcohol. If it looks tarnished you can also use a pencil eraser. But do it gently. Also did I mention to clean the port really, really well. If you don't you will be pulling your hair out thinking you bought a piece of crap or that someone sold you a burnt out one. There is a big learning curve and you will need patience. I can't wait till spring to get tuning again.

Join the Tweecer and YahooTweecer forums and read everything you can find on those sites. There is some stuff on this site and the Corral as well.

With those 30lb inj's I would not waste any time trying to get your t4m0 GT cal file to work. Start off with the j4j1 Cobra cal file. Even better would be the j4j1 cal file you can find on Daren Woodall's site. You'll have no trouble finding him on the Tweecer forum.

First couple of things would be to load in the bullet curve and inj values in your new j4j1 cal file.

EEC Analyzer and Log Analyst are a couple of programs that will help you a lot.

Welcome to the world of self tuning.

btw, that Valium Dave talked about .... not a bad idea

lol, i dont understand how guys had an issue witht the white plastic cage holding the eec in.. I dont recall having a hard time removing it. If your refering to trying to jam the cage deal back in, with the tweecer conected, that could very well give you problems.. I just yanked it and threw it away.

I recomend starting small, otherwise you'l get overly frustrated with it rather quickly.

Is it possible to get the eec back in the kick panel without the white plastic thingy? If not, where do you put the eec with the tweecer hooked on it? Thanks- I'll be getting one in a couple weeks for xmas!

I was able to get mine back like it was using the white plastic holder thing. I did have to warp or contort it somewhat to make it do my bidding but for over two years now everything has been o k.

I cannot stress enough getting the J3 port clean. When we attached it to my friend's cobra (a virgin J4J1 EEC) we kept getting error signals. I thought I had the port clean, but we had to get down there and beat the **** out of it with a pencil eraser before it connected properly and ran.

I did the same for mine. It will fit up there with the white plastic holder thing still on the car. No need to take it off.
