Transmission:

These are pictures of some wiring on my transmission that is closest to the rear of the car. The wiring isnt connected I was wondering if anyone knew if it should be or not. The car used to be an auto, and the last owner did a tranny swap.

This looks like another wiring outlet on my tranny? Does anyone know if it should have something hooked up to it or not?

This is a picture of my tranny. Does anyone know what kind of tranny it is by looking at the photo? The last owner never told me.

Speed Sensor:
http://community.webshots.com/s/image15/6/6/25/173860625ZLTFXb_ph.jpg
I have a bouncy speedo that bounces all the way up to 50mph. The speed isnt off it just bounces. I was told I need to replace my speed sensor. I was told its located at the top of the tranny on the driver side. Looking at the picture above, is that speed sensor?

Oil Leak?:
http://community.webshots.com/s/image14/6/28/2/173862802zLVpya_ph.jpg
http://community.webshots.com/s/image15/6/5/88/173860588lfeydl_ph.jpg
The first picture above is something located toward the front of the tranny on the passanger side next to my oil pan. Its covered in old oil and i was wondering what it is. The second picture is of a slow oil leak. I think its coming from the rear main seal. Does anyone know what needs to be dont to replace the rear main seal? And what other gaskets should i replace in the process?

Window Trim:
http://community.webshots.com/s/image15/6/5/52/173860552ifFbSK_ph.jpg
How do i remove the roofing trim marked with red. The stuff that goes all the way back around the quarter panel windows. I need to remove it so i can prep and re-paint it because its faded.

Pulling the engine:
My winter project is going to be pulling the engine, getting rid of rust, painting the block, and doing H/C/I install. Does anyone have an article on how to pull the engine? What tools are needed and such. I also wouldnt mind an article on doing the H/C/I. I need to know all about it; what tools are needed, how to set timing, ect. When it comes to rust on brackets and such, how do u go about getting rid of that? Will sanding it off and painting over it do it? POR-15?
http://community.webshots.com/s/image15/6/6/2/173860602nWPUdL_ph.jpg
How unsafe is this? Should i replace most of my steering componets or can this be salvaged?

Check Engine Light:
When I'm driving i constantly have a check engine light. The only modifications to my car are headers, cated h-pipe, and flowmaster cat-back, cold air intake, and a manual tranny swap. The problem is i constantly have a check engine light, except when i am in the middle of shifting from second to third. Does anyone have any idea why? Or does anyone know how to find out what the problem is, and fix it?

Thanks a TON for all your help. I really appreciate your responses. I'm looking forward to putting some wrench time into my car. I think its best to be well educated before i actually get under it though. So once again i cant thank you guys enough.
Steve
