Well, the verdict is in from Ford and I get a new top. The top has some sort of stain on it making it look like it was left after a light rain on a dusty day. They tried everything to clean it up but no luck. I have requested that they replace it with the cloth one. I will most likely pay the $300 difference which is no problem. It will really look nice with the cloth. Should be all done in a week of so.

The part that sucks is having to drive a loaner Focus while the Mustang is in the shop. Guess I will drive the '66 and let the wife have the Focus.....

Glad to hear that you're getting a new top from the dealer. Even if it costs you a bit of money for the swap, I'm sure it will be worth it. Despite the fact that you MAY pay the money for the upgrade, it seems like you've got a good dealer to deal with.... I'd kill for that around here.

That being said, be sure to treat that Focus like any other rental car, and beat the piss out of it!:D When my stang was in for body work after I was rear ended, they gave me a new chevy malibu as a loaner. Granted, I used to be a huge chevy fan, but holy crap was this car terrible. I made up for it with many neutral drops, and testing the limits of that retarded variable assist steering. :nice:

I know your top is black but has anyone have a camel colored top or other color top that has black marks - appears to be from where the top folds down and if so is dealer has done anything about it. My 05 has these and I clean it with cleaner which helps but they never fully go away. Also have cleaned where top folds into. I have a friend who has an 06 and hers doing the same.
