First the due date was the 12th.

And the revised due date was December 11th, and still no new Mustang!:(

So my question is this, if they keep track of things closely enough to revise the due date by one day, how is it that the car doesn't arrive within 2 days of the revised due date?

I told myself I wouldn't get all crazy, but I can't help it, it's an 08 GT vert with nav, candy red paint, chamois interior, sirius, ambient lighting, all upgrades, wing delete, HID's, 18" premium wheels, and just about every single option except the 1000.
Maybe somebody stole it off the train...

And you can't even get the 1000 with the Nav - fully loaded man, congrats! Can't wait to see the pics. Maybe it got delayed with the big icestorm that hit the midwest. Wouldn't you rather them be careful with the transportation of your new baby?! :)

It seems we are in the same boat... or perhaps on the same TRAIN.

I am still waiting for my '08 factory order to be delivered.

First the delivery date was Dec. 10. Then it was upped to Dec. 4. Now it is Dec. 19.

I don't understand why it takes so long to ship a car from Detroit to the West coast.

I will bet our vehicles are on the SAME TRAIN.

We just received a 2008 GT500 yesterday (Dec 11) that was due to arrive Dec 19th, so it was 8 days early. Ford's ETA is just that - an estimate. Once it is on a train, it's out of Ford's control while the train and the transporter to the dealership have the car.

Right on all counts. I ordered a vehicle once, a Sport trac, that took almost a week to come from the factory 90 miles away. Once the truckers have it, it is out of Ford's hands.
