Theft Mode

my car is acting weird it says theft mode on the cluster, and wont start when i turn the key, but when i turn the key all the way back and press the lock then unlock buttons it starts right up. does any one know what is going on if so please help out.

try using a spare key

pressing lock/unlock on the FOB resets the theft indicator.

now it kind of sounds like this issue is starting to mess with the starter and now its making a click noise but after a few trys turning the key it starts right up.
