Everytime I try to sell somthing I get someone from out of the country trying to send a money order for way more then its listed at looking for the remainder. Well didnt take long, I posted my bike for sale last night and this morning I had this:

There was a thread on another board where someone was trying to scam a laptop computer off someone. They were a known scammer and using a method that i forget.

Anyway the person decided to have fun with him and made a thread where someone gave him the idea to send him a 3-ring folder with old PC keys glued to the inside and a picture of a PC screen desktop!

It gets better because it was an international sale so the buyer asked for the seller to list it's value low and say it was something else to avoid paying import tax. Well the seller claimed he didn't want to get caught if they opened it so he told them what it was and the buyer would have to pay $500 of taxes to get it.

For the buyer this was fine because he was still paying $500 for basically a $3000 laptop.

SO he paid the taxes and got his nice $5 3-ring binder!!

Not really anything he could do because he sent the seller fraudulent payment.

same thing happened to me a couple of moths ago i was selling a block on here and got the same emails with bad grammer and saying he was a pilot and what not wanted, so he told me he was going to send me 5,000 dollars and to take my 500 and western union the rest to his shipper, i knew it was a scam from all the emails and thought f###k it let me see how far i can go with it. make a long story short he did send me money orders which buy the way were counterfit wall mart money orders at that (my bud is a accountant for wall mart said so), wall , i could be wrong but i didnt think there were any wal marts in the uk, so i figure who ever is sending the money orders does not want to get introuble for trying to cash counterfit money orders and trys to get inocent people to do it for them, after wards he kept asking if i recived them i told him yes, i cashed them and i was just going to keep the money and not to trust people on the web.
