DiMora, I agree, the Saleen has it's limitations. The heat exchanger in the manifold is smaller than some of the others, which I think is mostly a product of their manifold design. Also the stock snout is not very efficient, the super shaker improves on it but it's still not the best. It's not the best all out power maker, but it's good choice for 400-550+ rwhp.

The TVS probably has a similar ultimate power limit, but I haven't seen too many graphs of them. I say that given the similar size, but the TVS may be a better choice for 600+ hp. And I do like the idea of keeping it roush, saleen on a roush car would be a shame.

That said, the Whipple or the KB mammoth would be the better choices for all out power.
Dan

P.S. Nice brakes, they are made by stoptech, so I wouldn't feel too bad.

I agree 100%.

For all out 700/800 HP and up...I would go with that giant Whipple...then the KB mammoth...the TVS would be out of the running.

There is even an article in one of my Mustang mags this month where a guy had a gT500 and he put in a TVS then ripped it out and added the giant whipple since he maxxed out the TVS and wanted more (he also blew his motor up).

Yeah, that is why I bought the Saleen brakes...1/3 the price of the Roush branded brakes due to Saleen's difficulties with the change in ownership...and they are identical.

I even called Stop-Tech and they confirmed the only difference is the name on the caliper. I just wish they were red.

I plan on getting a set soon, and painting them to get rid of the logo
