how much do they weigh, and how much HP does the 4.6 put out in the Cougar you want? I could help with a good aprox 1/4 time with that info.

Sorry, but not alot of Cougar experts here.

I think '97 was the last year of the V8 cougar, the new ones are FWD underpowered sixes.

ya this is the cougar thats based on the same chassis as the lincoln mrk 8. it has a 4.6L, its an NPI one though, youre looking at 210-215hp. theyre kinda portly too, around 3500-3800lbs i think.

With those numbers, Your looking at a time of 15 flat to mid 15s, best possible scenerio. This assumes that you only weigh 200 lbs, weather is perfect, 60ft is good, etc. You will prolly never see that low, tho.

For my car the calulator I used says I should run a 13.7. The best I have run is a 13.9. That is in Sacramento, CA which is near sea level and in decent, but not optimal weather and 6 months of practice.

I had one. A 94 V8, with the 4.6l engine. They're more like a mid 16 sec car. The 96-97 were a bit faster. Go to www.tccoa.com They're comfortable and heavy.

Cheers
