No, I'm not changing cars but I think I'm going to change the look of my stang. As many of you know my hood scoop is painted black, wing is painted black, I have black window louvers and a black tail panel. I'm thinking of going wingless getting the mustang letters painted black, wheel spacers, taking off the side scoops and having the void filed in and painted to match my cars color, to top it all of I think I want to go with a 03-04 cobra front bumper. I what her to look bad a$$. The only question I have is there any issues with the 03-04 cobra bumpers and the stock hood?

there is a large gap between hood and bumper. you must modify the bumper in some way (i forget how but there is a way) to make it sit correctly

X2^^^ This is a problem but my body shop had it fixed in no time so I don't think it's a big issue.

I feel ya on changing things up a bit. I really like my car too but I've had it for about 5 years the way it is and was in need of a change recently. I'm about finished with it and will post some before and afters when it's complete.

As for your changes, what would you do once you take your side scoops off? Put the Bullit scoops on, because you do know there are holes in the body under the stock scoops.

Also I know everyone has their own taste but I think your car would look good with your described body modifications minus the rear window louvers. I don't know why but they are just a big turn off for me. Whenever I see them it distracts me from seeing the rest of the car. But as I already said everyone has their own opinion and I'm sure you probably wouldn't agree with everything on my car so mod it to your liking.

Yeah I'm with deftsound on the wheels. The biggest appearance mod you can do is get a good looking set of wheels. And with the current cheap prices on replica wheels for our cars it's not hard to find a good set.

IMO to pull off the wingless look its mandantory to........
Be slammed with a 2" drop.
Big a$$ wheels and tires.
Full tint.
Otherwise it will look like a V6.

Ok this is again what she looks like now. The only thing is in these picutres I have smaller winter tires on.

Taking the wing off last year to see what it would look like. This is before I had her lowered.

I like the louvers, it WILL look badass wingless with some DD's When i put my DD's on and looked at it from the back i was like "Oh snap son". No not really but it made that Fu*%er look nasty. Oh and i'm a huge fan of the cobra bumper too. Sounds like you got a good combo in mind

i say, remove louvers, paint to match(laser red) the following wing and scoop, remove honeycomb panel on the trunk, get you some cobra side skirts, either 1" spacer for the rear tires or some 18" anthracite deep dish wheels preferably bullitts and some dark tint on those windows.

Thanks guys, seems like most of you like the louvers. I also like them and think it gives the rear that 69-70 look. I was never a fan of wings not even on the 69-70 mach 1s, I just think the cars look sleeker without them. As for the rims, I will get some eventually but for now I'm going to go with 1" wheel spacers. Next year I will be doing Lt's, MM full-length sub frames and a HPS Hardballer intake. I have a B&M hammer shifter and tranny cooler in the garage that I need to install along with doing the Jmod. I think once done I will have a nice unique looking stang with retro styling and a fun driving car. She already is a fun driving car but with the Jmod, LTs, hammer shifter, tranny cooler, mm sub frames, Hardballer intake and dyno tune she will be a blast. Man it’s taken three years to get this far.

My buddy just put a 03 cobra front bumper on his 99 gt and it looks sexy. i noticed whenever he has to shut his hood it hit the bumber slightly. No minor "rubbage". But i agree with everyone else. Get some Black Bull's O and also, you should get a shorty antenna

Yea that shifter should make it a little more fun to drive. The hardball'r is badass from what i hear. It's the intake i want. Add in the lt's and sfc's and it'll be a blast.
