After I got my 06 I began having thoughts of selling my 90GT
Im curious as to how much you guys would sell it for as ive never
sold a car before.

Automatic
Needs new brakes
Rear main seal leaks
Needs paint

Other then the stuff listed above theres really no problems with it.
Any help from you guys would be appreciated

Well heres the thing man. Im being a good fox owner. Passing the torch so to speak. I have finally come to terms that I wont have money to pour into it. Why should I sit on my car and let it waste away when I can sell it to someone and let them run with it. She was/is very good to me and I hate to lose her. But its time for me to be real. She was the first car I ever owned. And Id like it to bring some other kid the joy it brought me. I paid 5k for her back in 2000. I know I wont get close to that amount but I was hoping someone would throw some ball park figures around.

Thanks guys

You would be amazed how much these foxes are going for. I am currently looking at selling my 91 Notch with a 5-speed. I am asking $5500 and am sure I will get every bit of it. Just put it out there and be patient. Fox lovers know how much these things are worth and they will pay for it.

I sold my 88 GT and now wish I had kept her. They are getting harder and harder to find in deceint condition. Just because you dont have the money now to put into it doesnt mean you will not in the future.

BTW, when I sold my 88 I lost the 2 car discount on my insurance, my insurance dropped $13 a month. Thats all it was costing me to own her, $13 lousy bucks a month.

I would reconsider.

You might be struck by lightning for starting a thread like this....

Your notch is a beuty whats 5500 bucks gonna do for you keep it.

Well there not my cars but the notch i would list for 6500 and the 88 GF i would list for 4500.

:( sad day, sad

I'd keep it too. The savings in insurance is negligible.
You'll regret selling it.
I'd love to have the car but my wife would kill me.
I've owned many, many Mustangs over the years and I wish I still had them all. My wife did talk me out of selling my 1966 convertible, candyapple red with white top and 289 V-8 to buy a 2003 Mach 1. I kept the convertible, bought the Mach 1. I sold the Mach 1 a year ago and wish I still had it too.
Keep your car.

According to Edmunds it's worth about $1200. But hey, things are worth whatever someone wants to pay for it, so if 97Snake can get his price, then that's what it's worth to somebody. But frankly with needing paint, brakes, and leaking, you might have some major trouble getting someone to buy it at all, the book value of the work it needs could be close to what it's worth.

It may be worth more to you to donate it to a charity, and take the dealer retail price of $2500 off your taxes. That way a charity can auction it, make some cash, some fox enthusiast can buy it and fix it up for cheap, and everyone comes out better for it.
