Ok, still working out the bugs on the supercharger, but yesterday I noticed a small spot of oil and its not from the pan. So I look into it and its coming from the pcv hose that is run near the air filter. I know this can't be good. In the instructions I was to run the line from the oil filter neck to the pcv valve and tee into it and run the rest of the line to within 1 inch of the filter in the drivers side fender. Now I live in FL. and dont need to pass emissions so the instructions said to leave the line open to the air. Now the oil that is being sucked thru is enough to drip out of the line and form a small oil puddle of about a quarter size after driving. This coupled with my fairly new rear main seal leaking again. What can I do different to not pressurize the crankcase and stop or slow the blow by??

Install a valve cover vent filter instead of just leaving the line open. It doesn't sound at thi point, like there's enough oil coming out of there to install a separator or catch can.

If you get the breather it might puff a little, you could get the steeda oil separator if you want to see how much oil you are losing, and to keep it from dripping.

The problem that I am having has me inclined to start shopping for a new engine. The rear main seal is leaking once again and I assume this is because of two items. 1 being increased pressure in the crankcase, and 2 the crank not being true to the seal allowing small amount of oil to seep. I have taken care of the motor since I have owned the car but it is original as far as I know and the clock is about to turn 100,000. I drive it hard but fix what is needed when needed. I have a bad feeling its not going to last.

Why is there an increased pressure in the crank?

Don't let the mileage or the rear main scare ya. I've got well over 160K on my short block with no signs that's it's going to check out. I've also played the rear main seal game. Third time was a charm in finally getting one that sealed correctly. If you're concerned the motor is worn, get or have a compression and leak down check done.

if your woried about crankcase pressure, put some sort of evac system (electric pump, belt pump, exaust if your not running mufflers), you will pick up some HP and make your engine run longer. Just don't run too much vacum or your wrist pins arn't going to get oil

I"m not postive that there is any pressure but what would cause this to start sucking oil all of a sudden?? I have had the blower on for a few months and this has just started. I am going to look into if the pcv valve has something to do with it. Its not that old, 6 months, or so and the screen was replaced at the same time. I'm just looking for some ideas so I can wrap this project up and move on.
