it seems like ive had countless problems since i had a 255 put in!!! the first time it didnt make it a day without the fuel dropping all the way to 20!.... i dropped the tank myself to see that the person used a crappy clamp on my pickup hose.. i got a new one and tightened it... it worked fine!! fuel went back to 40!! drove the car to the dyno.. ran awesome and on the way back home.. SAME problem.... i had a shop look at it and there was a hole in that pickup line.. they fixed it and it ran fine for the past 2 days

today ive had a pinging issue soo i upped the fuel to 45 and it made it beter but it sitll pinged... for the heck of it i jumped it to 48 and i didnt make it 2 blovcks away without the car dieing... the car isnt getting ANY fuel pressure!!! WHYYY? whats wrong now??

You gotta tighten that hose good, try using 2 clamps.

would this mean anything?? when i was adjusting the timing before, i happened to look at the gauge and it was reading 20 at idle.. it flucturated from 20-45 and everywhere in between, and then it finally stayed at 40.... im gonna drop the tank tomorrow and see what the heck is going on. i dont know why the hell this keeps happening.... this time its reading 0 fuel pressure as opposed to 20 the last 2 times

droppin it and swapping sounds like a plan. dont forget to check the wiring connector when down there. i would also confirm that the fusible link is not goin south on you - they can be on/off as they slowly degrade. gives intermittant problems (this does not happen often, but can).

good luck.

update.. Mike (sirsureshot39) came over my house and checked out my car.... the gauge is reading 0.. yet ihe pulled the gauge out of the shrader valve and left it open and primed it.. i got a big mouthful of gas... soo could the gauge just be wacked???? we both checked for spark and it didnt look like my plugs were getting spark....

well, did Mike seem to think that the fuel system was fine? it sounds as though it is (though your problem is intermittant).

i find the best way to check spark is to use an extra plug - stick it in the boot and ground the threads. then watch it jump the gap. battery fully topped off?

good luck.
