Any of you remember the 2003 Cobra video of the guy doing a 0-160 run and he misses 5th gear? I think this guy watched that video one time too many!

I'll see if I can dig up a link for you. In the original video this guy was having his passenger record an in-car 0-160 run and he misses 5th gear at aboiut 120+. It was pretty funny...

Here are a couple of videos I found with guys doing top-end runs. I dont think either of them are the video you are speaking of because nobody seems to miss a shift. Can't wait till I find a place to do this with my snake.

That's straight up some jail time for **** like that. It's cool and all but what if something were to happen? I bet you couldn't even tell it was a Cobra if they wrecked at those speeds.
I feel like the oldest 25 year old in the world saying that but I'm starting to realize how fortunate I've been over the past 7 years of Mustang ownership.
I'm keeping it on the track for 100+ and under 90mph for the street

Dang that is crazy fast! One dude hit 160 before I can usually hit 100 lol. But yeah serious jail time if you get caught. key word "if"

I can tell you that the first run to 160 MPH is either fake or the car has some SERIOUS power, what makes me think about a fake run is the rate on how the car decelerates from 160, I mean it takes like 2 to 3 seconds go get back down from speeds.

By being stationed in Germany I have been able to run my "mildly modified" Cobra on the autobahn at speeds of 170MPH + and the car does not decelerate at that rate!

Now, the second run is a good one, but again with my mildly modifed Cobra I get to 160 o/a the same rate and Im NA.

The fastest Ive had my 01 Cobra was to 142 racing a porsche.... and he quit at 125. She was taking it all and asking for more. You know the **** is fast when the farmhouses become blurs

That first video may had been on the dyno because they never showed any footage other then the speedo.
