I have a buddy who I hadn't seen in about 5 years. He got back from up north about 5 months ago and we've been hanging out occassionally. He has a 97 Cobra Vert and knew nothing about racing or what parts to get. He would come over every day and talk to me about his car and what he should get and how to drive it. Me, being a good friend, I taught him everything I've learned from STANGNET and from personal experience. He is now consistantly running 13.5 on Nittos with 3.73, timing adjuster, pulleys, and cai, not bad. He turned into a pretty good driver but it has gotten to his head. Now, I'm beginning to mod my car and he keeps coming over just to pick on me, the worst part is when he tells me "I love your car, it's nice, too bad it's so frucking slow" and then he laughs.OOOHHH, madafrucker, that pisses me off so bad. I can't wait to race him but I'm scared my car won't have enough to keep up. Take a look at my signature and tell me what you think, or what else I might need to keep up or maybe even beat him. I would love to hand him his ass but it's gonna be hard.

I dunno with those mods I don't think it would be very close...seems like you need to shave off another half second or so...good set of heads maybe..

Im with 302 ford racer... he has a standard coupe, and you have an auto vert. Thats an 8percent more less power loss through the drivetrain and about 200 pounds at least advantage right there... huge difference. Granted you have more mods but I don't think it will make up the difference. I would get that 100 shot of NOS you have listed in your sig and never tell him about it. Then you'll have him.

NITROUS!!!!!
Fastest, easiest, and cheapest way to get there.
Otherwise I would say supercharger/turbo setup.

I say get a set of nitto drag radials. I've got a set for my stock 16" wheels and they make a huge diff. If you dont have d/r he is going to own you for sure. And that zex kit would really put him in his place. With your mod's right now I see you at around 14 flat. With the stall maybe crack into the 13's but definitely not without the d/r. You'd be suprised how mucht hey help. But you do have some time to make up.

Oh wait yours is a vert too.... that's gonna slow you down a little more. 13's are gonna be hard to get with the extra weight and your mods. Get the zex kit!!!

i was thinking of forgetting the stall for now and getting the zex. i think that would be a little smarter and i would be a little more confident when a camaro stands by my side.
