I am starting to prepare my mustang for sale and wanted to get a couple of opinions. First the car has the original brakes and original steering box from 67..brakes not in good shape and steering box has about 6" of play in it. I am going to be getting ready to sell my car and was wondering if these are items I should fix before I try or just assume the cost/return is not worth it and just note them in the description?
Second, so the car is 1967 Fastback, with an average paint job. It ran well at sea level where I purchased it about 7 yrs ago (and since have been blessed with two little ones that have changed my disposable income and time.) The car was driven often by the previous owner at sealevel (he was in the country so I guess he didn't mind the brake and steering issues above), but seems to be a bit moody now that I have it here in Denver. I have been through the whole carb tuning/swapping parts, using vaccuum gauge ect and I guess over the years I have become an EFI spoiled brat.
It has very minor surface rust if any, front floor pans were repaired just prior to purchase. It has GT seats out of a 2001 Mustang with the pony emblem installed..still have the original seats and hardware as well. Seats were re-done prior to my purchase and are in great shape. Car is sound, doors shut nice and tight. Currently there is no dash pad installed and the passanger window regulator stopped working.
It has a 289 with world heads, edlebrock performer intake, a hydraulic cam, full length headers, and edlebrock carb (with spare holley 750 double pumper) recently rebuilt automatic transmission and conversion to pertronix ignition. I have new headliner kit (,not installed) new shelby style hood with new hardware, not painted or installed and a new weatherstripping kit (not installed)
