There are many types of thread lockers and sealers out there; but which one is recommended to seal the flywheel bolt threads and give correct torque readings? Most instructions say to "seal" the threads; but don't give a specific product number. Also, manuals generally say to use new flywheel bolts. I had installed ARP flywheel bolts about 3K miles ago and wonder if they should be replaced. Sometimes, the simple questions are the most bothersome.
Any input is appreciated.

It's no bother. You should know though, that thread 'sealer' and thread 'lock' or 'locker' are two different things.

Get a thread sealer that is designed to withstand oil and gas. This sealer will be different than what you might use on the long head bolts to seal against engine coolant.

As far as replacement of the bolts go, my question is, "Why"?

3000 miles for a set of flywheel bolts is nothing! OEM bolts can last over a 100,000 miles (proven thousands of times over). ARP bolts... I doubt you will ever have to replace them unless you loose or damage one. They will outlive you.
