I will be getting a Throttle body and new Plenum but was wondering what size too go with. I was looking at Accufabs 70mm and 75mm Combos and also BBk's 75mm Combo. What size and what brand. What 75mm be to big. I will be getting VT stage one cams in the future and a port and polish.

I went with a C&L plenum and a FRPP 70mm TB. This combo works perfect with
no need to change the factory tune. With minor mods this is the way to go.
I think 75mm is overkill for a stock 4.6. But if you are planning on cams and a
custom tune you may want to go ahead and plan for the future and get the 75mm.

I got the Accufab 75mm tb/plenum combo. I went with the 75 because I thought for the small difference in price, I'd rather plan for the future, as I will be doing alot more to the car down the road. I put them in at the same time as the sct tune and it was a pretty noticable gain. I'd say go with the 75...

If you dont have gears, then dont waste your time on the plenum yet. 4.10s + chip/tuner are about 20x more effective on an auto.

ive seen numbers before showing the diff in 70 vs 75 to be next to nothing, and for 420 rwhp and under, 70mm was making more power. its a bolt on tho, dont expect much to begin with.

tb and plenum is worth about 6~ hp, you are much better off getting gears. I would never drive my car without 4.10s again.

Yeah this is the list of things I want to do too my car. Gears, rims/tires, SCT Xcal2 and paint will be done this year. But this is my list, my goal is too get around 300 rwhp and run in the 12s.

SCT XCalibrator 2
FRPP 4.10 gears
Black Bullitt Wheels (17x 8 in the front 17x 10.5 rear with 245s up front and 275s out back)
VT Stage 1 cams
Port and Polish
All Year Mustang Handling Bullitt Spring package
Accufab 70mm throttle body
C&L Performance intake plenum
Tranny cooler
Paint

Accufab is really expensive, as are a few others.

Your pretty much paying for the name when it comes to TB and plenums. They are all very close in hp #'s, and for the little gain you get I could not justify paying the price for an Accufab setup.

I went with regular finish Professional Products 75mm and RPM (C&L casting) plenum for $200.

Or Professional Products has their polished tb and plenum for $250 or so at RPM outlet.

The BBK plenums are around $100 or so *seem em at $90*, and you can go with whatever throttle body you want.

Im just reccomending you dont overpay for the combo. If you want looks then your gonna spend $. If you want function, you dont have to blow almost $400.

get the gears ,gears are the best bang for the buck besides a supercharger ,and since your keeping your car naturally aspirated you should get some 4.10 gears

You'd be mad to go plenum/tb before gears. Trust us.
