i have and 08 gt with an automatic. my first question is what is the stock throttle body size. secondly i plan on putting on headers and a full exhaust with a cold air intake and a chip. i was curious what size throttle body will work good and any recommendations for a good chip would be nice.

As everyone else is going to tell you, don't waste your money and time with a TB....a lot of headache for practically no gain. I had a guy willing to sell me his BBK for next to nothing but I steered clear of it due to all the horror stories other members have posted. But as far as a chip, I would recommend a CAI & tuner package from Brenspeed. I bought a SCT X3 tuner from them and have been more than happy with it. Others have had good experiences with Bamachips....you really can't go wrong with either one IMO.

I strongly disagree! I installed the GT-500 TB on my Mustang and had no problems due to the fact that, that unit and the other FRPP TB's come with the electronics instead of having to transfer over as in the BBK unit making the Ford ones a true bolt in piece. As for what size?... depends on your future mods. As for results anytime you add more air (and proper fuel) to your engine you make more power. The GT-500 TB is one of the small mods that help me net a 13.05 @ 107mph on bald BFG factory tires and a 3.31 rear gear.
The stock TB is a twin 55mm. I put on the BBk one which is a twin 62mm. The only P.I.T.A. was getting out the TPS bolts. I would do it again. As for Bama I waited well over a month for a X3 and couldn't get in touch with him so I had Visa refund my money. I contacted Brenspeed and had the thing at my front door in less than two weeks.
A throttle body ain't gonna help you much at your power level. I was doing
510 to the tire with a Kenne Bell and the stock throttle body. And my friend with a Saleen blower was doing 550 to the tire with the stock throttle body.
What are your present mods?
