POS, even on the 5.0's which you see them often used it didn't do much

POS. Have them on the V6 just for fun and I was bored. Got them for free and didn't notice much or anything at all. Maybe a slight difference in gas mileage but that's all.

I have not seen them used on 5.0 or 4.6s, by anyone with half a brain

The 5.0 has EGR spacers.

but what about plenum spacers?
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Holl...ustang-GT_W0QQitemZ140195893935QQcmdZViewItem

Carb spacers have always been worth a few ponies. Mainly due to the additional plenum volume. Every little bit helps

Get a upper plenum instead and it will take care of the spacer needs.

firstly you dont want to go too tall, just the TB+Plenum alone wouldnt fit under my strut tower brace. Next volume isn't really an issue when you cant exceed the flow 75mm will grant in the first place
I guess if you're pushing a good amount of boost this could help

already have the 75mm/C&L combo and at 11 psi. Figure it couldn't hurt me.

If you already have the C&L plenum, then it already eliminates the need of a spacer.

It's up to you, if you want it go ahead and get it. I would only do it if your really bored one day and you got it for free. If you have to pay for it, then I wouldn't get it.
