I know this is a common occurance on the foxes, but on the newer mustangs also?! Had my 2003 for a very brief time and have pressed the gas pedal down 3/4 of the way three times already, and all thee times it felt as if the gas pedal hung up on somthing for a second or two. I moved my brand new carpet mats back towards me a couple inches assuming this to be the issue, but again today the gas pedal felt as if it stuck or got caught on something. Is this common on the new edge mustangs, and if so, whats the fix? Thanks.

and you might want to put some oil down the cable. We are talking about a car that is what, 6 years old?

And my car has a hook for the driver's side mat so it can't get into the gas pedal. I kind of assumed this was standard?

I will check the cable and oil it to see if that resolves the issue. I have the mat hook, but noticed when my mat was hooked in proper position, my mat was coming up over the bottom of the pedal on a few occurance. I assumed that to be the cause of the sticking, but now after moving it off the hook and back a couple inches, I believe theres another issue. Thanks for the replies.
