I noticed that when my car is running in neutral and the clutch is out, i have been hearing a high pitched squeal... almost like belt squeal, i thought it was my serp but when i push in the clutch, it goes away. I only really notice it when i first start the car after it has been sitting for a long period of time.

Im assuming its the throw out bearing going bad. What do you think?

I hope it isnt... I have BBK L/T's on it

Mine does the same thing and it's the TOB. Does it sound like a little cricket?

Could be a couple things, but usually the tell tale sign is that it makes the sound when idol, so yep, sounds like that's the issue.

How many miles on the car/clutch?

Car has 63k on it, and yes it does kind of sound like a cricket. How much time do you suppose i have before it completely fails?

Also, when I replace the clutch, what is a good performance clutch, and i know the headers are in the way, do i have to remove both sides or just one... and if its just one side, which side do i need to remove?

Mine just went out too and it was the opposite. Would squeal when clutch was engaged. The dude at shop said if it was the other way around could be transmission bearing. But I would not know.

Could just have your flywheel resurfaced. They did mine for like 60 bucks.
