Thunderbird Steering Wheel

The steering wheel in my '73 Mustang is old and cracked. I found a good steering wheel out of a '72 Thunderbird in good shape. If I just replace the horn pads, will this be close to an original style? I didnt get a chance to measure the T-bird wheel, but it looks very similar. Thanks

well you didn't say whether you had a standard 2 spoked wheel or a 3 spoke rim blow or even a 2 spoke rim blow wheels which was available about that time as well.

assuming same style to same style you should be ok.

Thanks. Sorry I forgot there were multiple styles. It is the 2 spoke wheel. What is the difference between the 2 spoke and 2 spoke rim blow?

the 2 spoke rim blow wheel is just like the 3 poke rim blow in that the horn is activated through a little rubber ring around the inside circumference of the rim, thus rim-blow, the standard 2 spoke wheel has a horn button in the center of the wheel that the rim blow does not.

also the t-bird wheel likely has cruise control and it will have the controls in the wheel center pad, regardless of whether or not it has the rim blow function
