Ok Ed.
Please, let me know the result.
I leave in Argentina and it's so expensive and difficult to import parts.

They claim +23hp for a stock engine... could it be real???
Do I need another part to fit, or just the manifold and gaskets?

Thanks again.

Those claims are total BS!! You will not gain 23rwhp unless you have serious modifications to your car. Also this intake is not yet released. It was supposed to be out a month ago but just like the rest continues to be pushed back because they just don't make any power in the real world. Save your money and buy some cams or something that will actually give you power.

you could have picked up a Bullitt or P51 manifold and not had to wait...

and paid double the price. This is the only area I think the typhoon wins in. I will need a aluminum intake shortly and it doesnt need to give me HP. just take some abuse.

the right up is in page 62 of May 2006 5.0 Mag. Read and come to your own conclusions...but as said based on the article and their dyno tests.. Gains by the intake only would be within the margin of error for the dyno. The test were done with custom tunes, upper plenum and throttle body changes. I like the look of a real aluminum intake and it would certainly be stronger...but as for hp gains, not really a big deal.. Maybe the aluminun intake could be considered as more of a swap to get more realiabilty and nice looks

Just my 2 cents..read the article and decide...oh did I mention $700 too.

hmm, thanks for the heads up, I didn't know there was such a large price discrepancy. The Bullitt manifold looks so sexy though haha

Yeah I like the bullit intake, but it just isnt worth what it cost to do the swap.

and I have a line on one for 600 when they start shipping. I am in no hurry either.

is the Typhoon the last piece for your engine build? Or are you breaking in the new motor w/o the blower for now, then later installing the blower/Typhoon?

you have to compare apples to apples here.
the typhoon intake is 550 dollars add to that an aftermarket upper @150 so now thats 700. A base P-51 is 1000. So its 300 more for a proven intake that will gain you a good 25rwhp on your blown car. The $1299 P-51 intake includes new fuel rails and installation hardware etc which the typhoon does not.
I hope this new intake is a success and shows gains in the real world but i am skeptical to say the least.

What do you work for Professional Products? All your posts are just kissing Typhoon intake ass. We have seen others put moles in online forums to promote/nudge buyers in their direction before. Hopefully your not one and are just happy to be getting a new intake.
