It's time for me to get a new cellphone and I was wondering what phone you guys have and what provider? I'm looking to stay under or around $60 a month.

Suggestions?

the RAZR is a motorolla (just for clarification)

I have the V7 SLVR...it's pretty nice

Samsung is coming out with some good stuff also...

and if you want to see something really nice, take a look at the new blackberries (canada owns you.)

I have the ultimate plan and buy a new phone as soon as a new one hits. I'm on the Sprint network. I'm ordering my Sanyo SCP-8400 tomorrow morning (Thursday).

Plan-> $49.99
1,250 anytime minutes
If over 1250 minutes its $5 per extra 50 minutes (not $.45 per minute overages like Verizon)
Unlimited mobile to mobile (Sprint and Nextel)
Unlimited High Speed Web
Unlimited Picture Mail/Video
Free Roaming
500 Text Messages
Nights & Weekends starting at 7PM.

Here is my new ride:

I have Verizon with the Samsung SCH-A790 (Global Phone). I've been happy with my service throughout my subscription. I spend over a hundred dollars a month just for my base service though :nonono: (1300 minutes, free night and weekends, 1000 texts, internet, full insurance) It seems like a lot to me, just for a stupid cell phone. I have no complaints about the service though.

I have sprint with the TREO 700P. I freakin love this phone. There isn't much that you "can't" do with this phone. I am in the process of trying to figure out how to watch movies on it. I do everything on this phone. From pay bills to transfer money from one bank to another or buying and cruising ebay, online forums, you can do pretty much anything on it.

The camera is pretty good also. The pic in my sig was taken with this phone. There was nothing done to enhance it. It takes good size pics..

I typed out this hole message on the phone.

Verizon Wireless.

I've got a new Razor for my wife and I have the Treo 700P.

The Treo is literally a mobile computer. The Internet is quite fast now, but the coolest thing is that I can watch movies (DVDs). With free software, you can convert a DVD to a DivX file (about 350MB) with no loss of picture or sound quality. I can watch 2 or 3 full length movies on one battery charge. Streaming audio and video, too.

If you don't mind, can you PM me some info on how to watch movies on my 700p??? I had some info, but I accidently erased it and haven't been able to find it again.

Thanks

I work for T-Mobile and like someone said earlier, we all have pros and cons. Verizon does have the best network because they are analog however with an analog network you sacrifice security. All those people that listen to scanners for fun can listen to your conversations on an analog network. Also, they can actually obtain your account information via the network. T-Mobile has the best customer service hands down. The network is growing daily and we have roaming agreements with all of the other major GSM carriers so you can use their network(s) for free. As far as the actual device itself, Nokias are the best, period. Samsungs provide the best features within the phone itself but lack in the reception area. Motorola falls somewhere in between. Blackberry's are great as organizers and have phenomenal battery life, but reception has been an issue. Sprint and Cricket are POS's. Cingular charges too much but they're network is decent.

Okay, so why on the tmobile website is the samsung flat phone [forget the model] $99.99 but when I go on amazon the same phone is only 0.01?

It all depends on where you're located. I know a few people in california and they swear by cingular. Around my area, they totally blow.

I had decent service with verizon, but got sick of having to call them every month about roaming charges. There customer service sucks.

I have had bad luck with T-mobile. There customer service is the worst that I have ever delt with. That's the only cell company that I have called and have always gotten someone that couldnLt speak english. Service wasn't bad with them.

Sprinr has been the best with me so far. Cust service is awesome and my bill is always correct. The only place where my 700p says no service is when i'm in the tunnel at work, which is 10' under ground with about 50' of coal above ground. Other guys that have verizon, cingular, T-mobile, nextel all have no service in the plant. Sprint phones are the only working phones.

It all depends on your location. You need feedback from people around your area.

Verizon is a digital network, not analog. Nextel is the one that's analog.
