Okay so it's come time to install the new PI heads. My question now is are there a better set of cams I can throw in the heads for more performance that also have a nasty lope for a good sounding idle. If anyone has any suggestions please let me know. Also will I need higher lift valve springs? Or anything else for that matter. Thanks for the tips!

Well Jersey, it would have been nice if you left a signature with exactly what you have and maybe all the future mods you plan on.

Your choice of cams is very important.
1st you need to think long and hard about any and all mods you plan on for the next few years. Then choose the cams that are right for you. There are many available. Will you have to face an emissions test?

The stock PI cams aren't too bad but they give no "lope" which is something I would enjoy also. Cams noted for having a noticeable lope sound are usually referred to as "Stage II" cams.

As Mr Vax stated the future plans you have play a big role as well as what has been done already.

Basically a Stage 1 or something like a Comp 262 would give you a nice increase in power with no issues in daily driving. Not much lope but you will feel a difference in acceleration.

A Stage 2 cam would give a noticeable lope signature and would require some idle tuning.

Anything bigger I wouldn't recommend in daily driving but a weekend warrior would be fine. Initially you would see a 25-30 HP increase with a mild cam with a 10 HP bump in each step up from there. Any cam swap would also require a tune to get the full benefit.

Some cams will need new springs and some wont. Depeneding on the age of the motor and miles etc it might be a good idea to get them anyways. I have been hearing some good things about the Hi-tech stage 2 cams. I do not know much about them, but have seen some good results from them. Guys running low 12's at 110+ cam only. But there are a lot of good cams out there. Just do some research and like stated, determine your long run goals

Thanks everyone. I will put my mod list in my sig but for right now my mods are, CAI, Throttle Body, Plenum, BBK Shorty headers, SLP catted x-pipe and LM1, FRPP 3.73 gears and a short throw kit. My future plans are to have the car blown but not for atleast a year or so. For right now I just want a nice daily driving cam with best bang/buck and a nice lope. Also right now I'm in the middle of doing the head install as I stated. Along with this and the cam upgrade I'm throwing on a set of steeda pulleys and once the build up is finished I'm plugging in my Diablo Sport predator. Does anyone have any suggestions of anythign that I could do to the car to get even more power that would work well with these mods? Kinda like a since I have it torn apart I might as well put this on.. kinda thing. Thanks for any advice everyone.
