Timing Question, for those who hve to use 91

What kind of timing are those of you, like me , that only have access to 91 runing. I just got my predator, and it pinged with the preprogrammed performance tune. I took out 6%, above 4000, and it ping a little. It start around 4800, and I could barely hear it. I am talking really faint. I then took 2%, for a total of minus 8%. This is equal to about 12.88*. It does not ping below 4000 (but I still took out 4%), only above.

Should 13* be safe, I have not had time to test it. What is the max those of us with access to crappy gas can run.

I have succesfully run 14* on 91 octane. It is going to absolutely depend on the individual car though. Crappy CA gas.

What brand of gas were you using. I am currently using shell. Also, are you using a T/A, and no adjustments to you A/F mixture.
