I'm out of ideals on what to do to make this thing run. It had a bad surging idle but thats fine now. Right when I start driving the car it miss really bad (like timing). I set the base timing to 10*. checked all the spark plug wires and there fine. I put new spark plugs, wires, new cap.
Whats done to the car: New Trick flow H/C/I, 70mm throttle body, 76mm C&L MAF, 30lb injectors, 255 fuel pump, full exhaust, K&N

Just really frustrated and tried of messing with it

Is it an old, OE, balancer? It might have spun, so you THINK the timing is right.

Of course it could also be one of a thousand other things. But that is something I have seen many times before. I started pinging bad at the track one day, checked my timing and it was at 15*. I put on a new balancer and found that I was really at 25*. Backed it down and everything was fine.

Is is just a low RPM miss, or is it across the range?
What cam is in there? How did you install it? (advanced/straight-up...)
Fuel regulator/pressure?
Did you do a code check? could be a bad sensor.

It's the TFS1 cam, the one that came with the kit, installed straight-up
I checked the codes with a ford code reader and the only code was a 11, and that means that system is OK.
(Is it an old, OE, balancer?) The car has 96,000 and it's a 88
It's across the range miss

You might want to look at the balancer more with that many miles and it possibly being the original balancer. Very common problem to have those spin on the rubber, throwing off your timing marks.

Does it miss at idle? You could loosen the lock down for the dizzy and gently, and slowly move it one way or the other to see if the issue clears up while idling. If it does, do NOT assume it is OK and start driving. Go get a new balancer and reset timing.

It's fine at idle with no miss at all. Would this still be the balancer?
The fuel pressure regulator is stock.

you set timing at 10* what??? ATDC or BTDC

verify you arnt off on the pointer spin the motor till #1 Cylinder in on TDC check position of dizzy pointer should be on # 1 on dizzy cap. also verify your using HO firing order and no wires are crossed...

If that shows nothing do a KOEO/KOER test.

the HO and non-HO have different firing orders for sure. its been awhile since i needed it but i believe this is the HO:

HO firing order: 1-3-7-2-6-5-4-8

i believe you are trying to use the non-HO firing order. maybe someone else could confirm this? its 1am and i've been up since 8.

you are using the wrong firing order....the HO came with different cam and a different firing order from the regular non HO mustangs.
13726548 is how you need to set it.
