To beat a 99 Cobra

No offense, but it seems that your friend can't drive worth a damn, especially if your 1/4 time is a 14.6. On average, most 96-01 Cobras are deep 14's, and in the 13's with a few bolt-ons.

Obviously you did not read my sig. I have gears now,the 14.6 was without gears at 5800. After 100 he creams me but we are talking 1/4 mile. Thats roughly 13.6 sea level and i bet you i could get a good wack at 12.9 (sea level) now with gears and a few other things. Here is me and the cobra before gears. http://videos.streetfire.net/video/2000-GT-VS-2001-Cobra_174724.htm the vid is taken from my car

not being rude, 14.6 on ANY sort of cobra after the 302 cobra is borderlining horrible.
I've ran my car way above sea level with a poor prepared track and had 14.1 on a stock GT. Cobra with gears should be like low 13

dude...he is in denver...cars can typically run 1.0 to 1.5 seconds slower up there

You were no where near the elavation of denver if you ran 14.1 in a stock gt.

I laugh everytime i see that image of the dead horse being beat. But to beat it a little bit more - a non PI (auto or manual) wouldn't be able to see the license plate on a 99 Cobra. The only thing the gt has going for it right now is a straight axle in the rear.
On a side note - i lit up a white cobra (non SC) without the go-go juice. Just put it in D and rev to the stall limit and SEE YA!

the elevation of my track is about 1500 ft. but really, it's prepped so damn poorley that it makes up for a 10,000 elevation diffrence..it's that bad.
Theres only 2 1/4 mile tracks within 300 miles down here..it sucks

I don't think he can comprehend this. thats not that bad of a time at Bandimere.

Track prep has no effect on DA or altitude, so relating the two or trying to find a correlation is pointless

i did a quick google search on denver. its suppose to be the highest above sea level state in the united states..5200 ft..thats pretty high.
But still, is that high enough to make a 13 second car run high 14s?

Yes, it is high enough to do that

Bandimere is supposed to be 5800+

Ive never run my car up there but I woulnt be suprised to lose over a second in et

Bandi can be nasty, the Altitude alone is killer, but the DA on some days is just disgusting 10k+!

With 265 rwhp and the Stang wieghing in at 3500ish with me in it... best I could muster on streets was a 14.4 @ 98mph

with 360/360 at the wheels and same race wieght best I got on streets was 13.9 @ 105 or something. (To be fair to myself and the car it was the first time I'd run the track with the blower)

If your car has the right tires and you know how to drive you can get some great times though. The track is nice... flat and newly resurfaced. AND they actually prep it, unlike this "Europes Premiere Drag Strip" uphill unprepped forced to drive through the water box jobby they have here in the UK.

I think that you have your work DEF. cut out for you. I have more mods than you and 100 shot and put down 301/382. I would think that you would be looking at less than that w/ your car if you put a 100 shot on it. That is Cobra territory. Honestly, that is the easiest way. That or blower. NA, it is an uphill battle and you will have to do a lot.

You must own a 96-98?
