Well, I finally found a decent black t-top car near my area. I was originally only looking for an 87/88 but I found a pretty decent 86. It has the updated quarter windows which I like. I am not too familiar with the 86 cars and am wondering what your opinions are. I would probably redo the entire car so the only part that would stay is the basic console setup and the front headlights. I do like the front bumper though. I also like the GT imprint in the side of the car. What kind of paint jobs would you guys do for a black 86... would you remove the charcoal line across the side of the car? Anything else you specifically like or dislike about that bodystyle? Thanks for the input

dont just convert an 86 over to the 87-up bodystyle like everyone does, ruins the car IMO

I would pic my two favorite colors and have a fairly agressive looking paint job done on it.

I'd also remove that set-back K-member that's on there and put the front wheels back where they belong.

If you hack it up and make it a 87 and up bodystyle I will never forgive you.

haha you noticed the setback k member huh, yea definately dropping that for a MM K-member. I like your two toned car a lot however I think I want a classic solid black car. I already have the wheels picked out. Think a RNH wing would look good with it?

Thanks... and it's no woman. Some little neighborhood boy that thinks he's hard and used to come over thinking he was a "playa" with my girls. My middle child (I have all girls) had to give him a beating when he laid hands on my oldest. LOL

All black is hot too. I have some 4 eye all black pics at the house. I'll post em up when I get home 2nite if someone else hasn't done that already.

I think all black with those headlight covers looks good... if i go all black including the trim piece what should I do about the GT insert on the side, paint it black too or another color?
