To remove a/c or not?

I yanked my A/C out a long time ago and regretted it every since. Now i'm spending clost to $500 to put it all back using new components.
same here
I think the best benefit is how much it decluters the engine bay, was working on a stang with ac the other day, end holy sh-it the ac parts were in the way of like everything I was trying to work on

I have all the stuff to do the A/C in the 93 with the new dash. I won't have a car without it. The 90 that my wife drives has A/C, it wouldn't go over 60 with it on, but you were reaching for a coat when you are in the car. Just picked up a 95 V6 Stang tonight. Guess what, I took it to my shop, got it to 70 degrees in there, then tried the A/C, that was the deal breaker if it didn't work... guess what.... It works (texas car too...)

if i had a working A/C, there's no way in hell i would take it out. fortunately for me, mine doesn't work and it needs all new components anyways, so i'm yanking it all out of mine. one of these days, i'm going to drop the dough and get all new stuff to put it back in though. i live in oklahoma and the summers get HOT here, i'm used to not having a/c though, cause sadly, i've never owned a car with a working one, hahaha.

I consider taking out my A/C to be the #1 worst modification I ever made to my car, with removing some of the NVH insulation around the interior a close second. Thing is, it will be a lot easier and cheaper to replace the insulation than it will the A/C.

AC in a sports car is pointless. I have other cars I drive when I want to be comfortable... but when I'm in my Capri I want the windows down, stereo off, hear the roar of the engine and smell of the exhaust.
I want the FULL driving experience, not some muted, climate controlled, soft riding "wimpmobile". If I'm sweaty when I get out, it's because I'm a man driving my manly car. All you guy whining about getting rid of the AC was the worst decision you made, grow a set! Just funnin'... so don't flame me. LOL.

If you've got t-tops or it's a vert rip it out.

Aren't you from Canada? If I had 60 degree F summers, I'd be against A/C, too! :p

This was how I felt when I took the A/C out of my car. Then I finished college and got an office job. Now, when I want to drive the Mustang to work in the summer, my nice, ironed dress shirt has a big sweat stain on the back of it after driving in rush hour traffic for 35 minutes. On top of that, the woman never wants to ride in it unless its not too hot outside and she doesn't have to worry about what her hair looks like. It was cool when I was younger, but now it's just an inconvenience.

I didn't read the other replies but bought my car without AC.

After driving it in the 90 degree weather, I do wish I had AC. The power loss is easy to compensate for.

My advice would be if you don't plan on driving it much and not very far....then sure. If you live in a hot climate and want to be able to enjoy the car as much as you can....just keep the AC.
