A buddy of mine is telling me to get a spool for my rear end. He says it's like all the time posi, but wouldn't that be a little wierd in turns? Just wanting some opinions on them.

Thanks.

If its a street car dont do it.....cause i know a few polls that are looking for friends. Stick to a posi you wont regret it.

I have a spool in my Daily driver. It's been in there since 2003. Wouldn't change it for the world.

spool in a DD.....I would think it might be hard on rear tires going around alot of corners and won't it try to push you straight when you try to turn. I would love to run a locker in my car but not a spool.

been running a spool in various cars for the last 15 years, wouldnt run anything else. People that say dont do it, more than likely have never had one. Let one of those posi units unload a tire at serious speed, you will be a spool convert real quick

I have welded the rear end in a few car's/Truck's and it almost does the same thing as a spool ( well it pretty well does). I used them in mud or fields and it was fine but on the road when you turn the inside rear tire spins a fair amount less and wou will hear that when the inside is forced to turn the same speed as the outside rear. Just My 2 cents

run a locker. if you stay off the gas going around turns the wheels will spin at different rates but as soon as you give it any throttle the two wheels are locked

How much do decent lockers normally run? And lucky, if you don't mind, could you PM me your current setup? 461 RWHP with a stock block sounds like something I'd be interested in.
