Thx mang.

Everyone have a good weekend and don't be stupid. I've seen my fair share of drunk drivers and people acting stupid all weekend.

I lucked out. My official DOS was the day the war started.

I went on terminal two months prior to that. I was sweating until my inactive was done with.

Dont get me wrong, I would of gone back in a heartbeat if they asked me. But it was a bit up in the air and I was halfway through school at the time.

I've served 4 in the Marine Infantry. I would die for the men I fought with before, 15 years down the road from now. The only problem I have with being recalled. We are thrown in a rag-tag group, of people who i have NO idea of their performance, or battlefield-cool... If it were a recall by unit, I dont think any of us would be worried about fighting with the people we "grew up with" in the early days of our military service.

I'm actually thinking about going coast guard. I want to star in a major Kevin Costner film. And have navy try to talk **** to me, as if I'm just some "average coastie" (in the guardian, i would have taken that bar down in a tornado of fury)

One thing I'm not sure about, is if I am allowed to wear my previous ribbons. If not, I'll be getting in a lot of trouble, because I will do it anyway. Besides, you guys have heard the saying "Once a Marine, Always a Marine"
