I am about to order my Springs and looking at Summit. I found Moroso's Drag Spring Part#47510(rear springs) but it is only for 79-93 Mustangs

Will this work on my Cobra or do I need a different spring? I am not going with Eibach, because I am going with Foxbody 4 cylinder springs for upfront. Any help is appreciated

I honestly don't see why it wouldn't work but, keep your stockers or try to get some take off bullitt or mach 1 rear springs for drag. You might save a few bucks.

You still have your solid axle, right?

They'll fit, shouldn't be any different than adding fox stock springs on a sn-95, the only thing that would cause a slight problem is that the moroso springs are built around the weight of a fox body, that being less weight of the cobra but shouldn't be that noticable or not even at all

just an FYI: the Moroso Drag Springs are a good choice and will fit both Fox bodies and SN95 bodies, but asper Moroso it states in there catalog and in big BOLD Words: IMPORTANT!! for Drag Racing ONLY, NOT for street use.

Sorry, also the Moroso springs need to be trimmed to get the correct ride height, so there is some trial and error.

well other then the Eibach drag kit, alot of guys have used the Bullitt springs on the rear for street n' strip wth good results

there is some drop wth the Bullitt springs, not much, maybe a 1/2" but you dont want tobe to low if your going to race the car as there wont be enuff spring for weight transferr, its tuff to get the best of both worlds.

Exactly.....lowering springs aren't the best choice at the strip. They rear springs are too stiff to allow the rear end to squat properly, and the front springs to stiff to allow enough rise in the front end to most effectively transfer the weight to the rear of the car.

When was the last time you saw a lowered car run fast at the track, compared to the other guy with the same parts under the hood and driving skill behind the wheel.

I am not trying to get slammed. but I have a good 3+ inches of space that I would like to lessen.

I see Steeda has a set of drag springs but I dont know much about them or the Eibachs

Steeda's drag springs are Eibachs. You'll have basically the same rear height with a raised front end if you keep all the coils on the springs. I'd still say keep the stockers. Or if anything, get front drag springs only.
