easy. With the cluster still loose but connected to the cable, turn the car on and hold the trip reset button while you turn the key and everything - it will go into test mode, once the other needles flash or w/e cycle through till it goes to RPM, then put the RPM needle on where it is, then drive at any speed over 10mph and then look at the thing and put the needle on where it should be. Easy easy.

All you gotta do is take the needles off. Turn the key on, and off a couple times, and with the key turned ON, put the needles are ZERO.

same thing happened to me. If you have a tuner, you know what rpm your idle is at, so run the car at normal idle and press on the gauge. My speedo is still off like 6 mph, but all the other gauges you can press on with they key in the "on" position b/c you know how they should be. The car is cold, battery should be in middle, & same with oil pressure. for fuel just run it till the low fuel light is on and then press that gauge on.

still seems kinda hard to drive and press on a gauge while looking at the test thing.. idk

All I did was remember where they are normally when car is warmed up and idling. Then I drove beside a friend at 10 or 15mph and set cruise control on and placed the needle down.
