When I had my 01 V6, I had it up to about 118-119. It felt like it had a bit more, but you can definitely tell that the governor kicked in (yes, it has a limiter).

Yeah, mine's around 117-120. And it pi$$es me off b/c most rice goes somewhere around 130-140 and, b/c of that, they think their car is better even though they get in the quarter. I really, really hate rice....really.

Yeah. Well it only takes me 14 and a half seconds to get to 94 mph, so I'd say a good 25 to 30 seconds to get to 145

You could chip it...but I personally don't like chips b/c they always wind up messing something up. There could be other ways, but I don't know enough to say.

Well I'm sure there is a way to get a V6 past 115-125 mph besides a chip, I was just wondering. 115-125 Isn't to bad, my ole Tahoe was capped off at 95 mph I miss that ole Tahoe is would out run my new one and got better gas mileage To bad some old lady had to kill it

a chip that takes of the govenor is a fairly cheap item but the price goes up when you start tuning other things

its all computer controlled...you can reflash the ECU with the same program minus the speed limiter or get a aftermarket chip that will do it too....or get other tunes that improve the shift points and rev limiter ect
