has anybody been around a torque arm rear supension? I just bought a 99 Mustang that has a three link rear supension with a torque arm and coil overs. Will this setup be good for drag racing and hard launches or should i go to something different?

Yes take pictures. Ill be switching over to a griggs torque arm and panhard bar setup within the next couple months and i would really like to see this setup

That would be Griggs extreme duty torque arm and griggs panhard bar. Very nice stuff. Must be a good feeling on the rear.

Those are crap. What you need is a stock rear suspension setup. I'll trade you mine if you want.

On my old coupe I had the whole 89 MM 3 link with the torque arm and it was amazing don't waste your money on griggs they are too overpriced in my opinion. I had no problems with the MM setup and it out handled any car I've ridden in.

A TA/PHB/LCA rear suspension will be better than the stock setup. The stock setup design isn't the greatest. It has too many jobs to do and not enough parts to do the job correctly. So the end result is hindered performance. Personally, you can't go wrong with a MM TA/PHB/LCA combo.

The difference is probably $100 to $200 between Griggs and MM, depending on the application for HD or XD Torque Arm's. Plus Griggs goes as far as being able to use a Watts Link setup that they also sell, as well as what Rear is in the car, whether it is a 8.8 or Ford 9inch.

I am sure both pieces are very similar in setup, and I will probably be going with the MM setup when I decide to make my car a road course car.

This is the setup I am slowly moving towards. I have been wanting that setup for years and as soon as I can park my car for a while, I'll be modding the shat out of it. Do not change your rear suspension, you'd be throwing money away.

Actually, from what I've read on coner-carvers (quite the site to try to tackle) the Grigg's PHB is better suited for our rear end due to it situating the arm on the opposing side that MM does - the grigg's working to compliment the radial torque applied by the driveshaft/diff while the MM works opposite to where you want that bracing.
